so, the proposal definitely stole my birthday's thunder
(totally fine by me!),
but it was a very colorful and
delicious birthday party and deserves a little bit of attention in and
of itself!
what a fun (and memorable!) night!

spotted this beeautiful (hehe) painting at my fave thrift shop and
spraypainted it up a bit. It became the spot for guests to
post pics that they had brought with them!

honey-chipotle grilled corn
sweet corn cakes
spring black rice with tofu
rosemary grilled chicken
avocado fries
goat cheese + fig salad
fresh lavender drinks
vanilla bean cake with fudge frosting

thanks so much to all my dear friends who helped out with
the delicious food! :)
