moments of an easter weekend

Easter is such a special holiday, don't you think?
while this year we made sure to include the ever-s0-important
Easter events (the egg hunt, the dyeing sesh, the brunch),
it was also an important day for us to remember why we're here...
and who to thank. so it was a special day indeed.

started the weekend off right with a little "camping" (the camp of course) in costa
mesa. we loooooove native foods more than life itself. ok, maybe more than meat itself.
(and i don't speak for the boyfriend). but seriously, their portabello-sausage burger
would make a meat patty cry oily tears of envy.


we also love THE SEED. i could spend
hours in there. so inspiring! i love it when places have the
ability to do that.

hello! hope you all had a good wknd!
mine was slow + relaxing, involving
naps, leisurely breakfasts, and a very
special visitor.

i have been soooo inspired by vertical succulent walls since
i first laid eyes on one! so happy to now have one (though not as extravagant

LA wknd

a great weekend was had!
there is nothing better than a much needed
girls day out. and we went all out.

this place was absolutely incredible!! we woke up @ 6 so we
could make it here by 8 (snoozers are losers!).
so much beauty packed into one place.

Tavern
hands down, one of the best brunches i've ever (ever, ever) had.
period. we could have stayed here for hours and hours,
it was sooo gorgeous, airy, inviting, stylin', and friendly (in LA?! gasp!)
and to top it off, the food was unreal.

such a great new york lounge feel.

the most delicious pancakes i've ever had.

the food literally knocked our socks off. mmmm mmmm good.

+a stop-off in los olivos @ enjoy cupcakes (located in the beeeeautiful
sarloos & sons tasting room). too bad they were completely sold out!

i know it's a little late to be talking about weekends...but this last one was a good one. so many good friends, all rolled up into one big weekend ball?! perfect.
on sunday we went into LA for a dim sum birthday celebration (HBD MIKE)...here's what went down shortly thereafter...
